Roast Chicken Tortilla

Roast Chicken Tortilla
Today, we are learning to make Roast Chicken Tortilla.
It is very easy to make.
You can pre-prepare those ingredients to bring to work for your lunch or
your kids to bring to school for their break time.
It is a very healthy dish.

Roast Chicken (meat shred into pieces).
Lettuce - cut into desire sizes.
Cucumber - cut into desire sizes.

You can buy ready made Tortilla.

Just heat up the Tortilla (both side).
Do not over cook the Tortilla.
(if you are lazy, then no need to heat up the Tortilla)

Place the Tortilla in a flat plate
Place some lettuce and cucumber on top.

Then, place some shredded chicken and
squeeze some ketchup on top of the roast chicken.
If you prefer other type of sauce, by all means squeeze it in.
I prefer Thousand Island sauce........
(sure you must be asking why I am squeezing ketchup??)
Well, it is being made for my daughter.
Another headache, my son prefer Barbecue sauce.
Thanks God! that my husband is not fussy on those sauce.

Now, you can start rolling, rolling ....

and rolling.......

right up to the end!

Look like this after rolling.

You can eat the whole roll or cut into
your desirable length to eat.

My fussy daughter prefer cut size...easier for her to eat.
Ain't it is delicious to be eaten!
My daughter brought some to make in school during her break time
and all her friends find it fascinating to make and tasty to eat.

Marble Cake with Chocolate Chips

Marble Cake With Chocolate Chips

Well, my mother and neighbour wanted this recipe and without hesitation, given to them.
Now, I am sharing this recipe with you.
Yesterday, baked two of it.
One given to neighbour and one for ourselves.
As of today, left only three slices.
This Marble Cake is special because it is my son who suggested to scatter
the chocolate and white chocolate chips on top of it before baking and it turn out great.

Get ready two of these baking tin.
Grease and flour the side and line base.

250 g butter or margarine
220 g castor sugar
4 medium size eggs

200 g self raising flour (sift twice)
3 tablespoons golden syrup

25 g cocoa mixed with 3 tablespoons of milk (stir until combined)
25 g chocolate chips and 25 g white chocolate chips

Beat the butter or margarine and castor sugar until light and creamy or
until the sugar or margarine pale in colour.

Whisk in eggs one at a time.
If the batter curdle after beating in each egg,
then pour 1/2 tablespoon of self raising flour
before whisking in the next egg.

Then, pour in the golden syrup and then beat for a short while.

Pour in the self raising flour and beat until done.
Do not over beat the batter.

Look like this, once the self raising flour is folded into the batter.

Pour the batter into the baking tins.
Dividing equally.

Then, spoon the cocoa mixture into the batter and
swirl to make marble effect.

Look like this after you have swirl the cocoa mixture

Fish and Chips

Fish and Chips
Tomorrow, Sunday lunch, my husband and kids wanted to eat Fish and Chips and after our dinner, off we go to Tesco Kajang to buy some ingredients to cook it. When we reached Tesco, I suddenly remembered that today is a Saturday and the Selangor State had started a campaign called "No Plastics Bag Day In Selangor Every Saturday" and my whole family said it is cool as long as we're contributing to this campaign. When we are at the cashier, the cashier politely told me about this campaign and if we do not agreed to it, they will charge us RM0.20 cents per bag and told him that we agreed to the campaign. While he was scanning our purchases, I asked him whether there are customer who scolded him about this campaign and he said "YES". Pity him. Well, there are some stuck up people out there and we all hope that those people will learn fast and if not, their children or grandchildren will suffer in years to come. Make this world a clean world to live.

This recipe of Fish and Chips is very easy to cook.
Happy trying! Have a happy weekend.

I bought 800 g of Frozen Dory Fillet.
Some of it still inside the fridge.
Thaw the Dory Fillet.

Wash and cut 8 potatoes into strips.
Pat dry with kitchen towel.

130 g of flour
250 ml of milk
some salt and pepper

Make a well in the center and then pour in milk slowly while stirring.

Keep on pouring and stirring until done.

Once done, you will notice that there will be a lot of bubble
and then keep at one side.

Heat up your fryer.

Pour all the potatoes into the fryer.

Lift up the fryer basket for 3 minutes after frying more than 5 minutes
or slightly brown and then fry again until brown.
I did it this way in order for my fried potatoes to be crispy outside
and fluffy inside.

Once done, pour all the fried potatoes on top of the kitchen towel
to absorb those oil and sprinkle some fine salt.

Dip the dory fillet into the batter.

Make sure you submerge the whole dory fillet into the batter.

Place the dory fillet into the basket fryer and fried until golden brown.
Make sure you don't off and on try to lift up the dory fillet,
if not, your dory fillet will be broken into pieces.
Be patience! In order to have a perfect fried fish.

Once done, place the fried dory fillet on top of the kitchen towel
to absorb those oil.

Now, you can place the fried potatoes, fried dory fillet
on to the serving plate and squeeze some tartar sauce
or maybe you prefer ketchup sauce.
Happy Eating!

(Note : This dish for my whole family of 4 cost us only less than
RM16.00. Imagine how much it will cost us if we go out and eat...plus drinks.)

Lorraine Quiche

Lorraine Quiche

This Lorraine Quiche is one of my family favourites.
(Please get the pastry recipe from "Shortcrust Pastry.)

Cut the bacon into pieces.
I do not have milder onions, so ending up using these onions, cut into pieces.

Grate the cheddar cheese.

Pour out 1 1/3 cups of whipping cream.
Break 3 eggs (can you see the yellow dot inside the picture?
it is the eggs submerged inside the whipping cream).
Sprinkle some pepper.
Beat together.

Saute the bacon (do not over cook) and put at one side.

Saute the onion (do not over cook) and put at one side.

Arrange the bacon and onion in the pastry.

Pour the whipping cream with eggs, pepper into the pastry.
And then sprinkle the cheddar cheese into the pastry.
See...my son fingers...he can't help himself with more cheddar cheese.
He said the more the tastier!
Bake at 180 degree celcius for 60 minutes or until golden brown.

Once baked, take it out and cool it before cutting.

See for yourself the creamy Lorraine Quiche waiting to be eaten.
