Your family or friends will surely love it as a breakfast or snack.
Easiest snack on earth to make.

Two slices of bread and butter it up on top side only.
Two slices of cheddar cheese.
One slice of turkey ham.

Place each bread with one slice of cheddar cheese.
Place one slice of turkey ham on top of the one bread with cheddar cheese.
Flip over the bread with cheddar cheese (without ham)
to the other side of the bread with cheddar cheese and turkey ham.

It looks like this.
Oven toast for 20 minutes or until the cheddar cheese

Cut into half and serve warm.
Did you see the cheese melted inside???

Fried Minced Meat

Fried Minced Meat

Tomorrow, Sunday is Mothers' Day.
Wishing all the Mothers in the world, Happy Mothers' Day!

Today, we celebrated earlier to avoid the crowds.
My son and daughter bought for me this recipe book.
How thoughtful of them :)

Lovely notes by my son and daughter ...(my daughter wrote it).
Dear Mum, Thank you for always being there for us, for always keeping
your family in your mind and for all your sacrifices. We are forever
grateful to have a kind, generous and absurdly funny mother like you.
Please know that your children loves you very much with all their hearts.
Happy Mothers' Day 2011!
P/S - We love you every single day. Not just today!
Much Love, Son & Daughter, 8/5/2011

We celebrated at Italiannies, The Gardens.
Good food and service.

Fried Minced Meat with Tai Tow Choy (Preserved Vegetable)
(Need to check the English word...will update later)
You can use this Fried Minced Meat in all kinds of dishes
e.g. Stir Fried Noodles, Fried Eggs, Steam Bean Curd and etc.
I prepared this dish earlier for the Fried Lo See Fun which
I am going to cook tomorrow.

Minced Meat.
Tai Tow Choy (Wash a few times, soak for 1/2 an hour and
chop into small sizes using food processor. Remember
to wash and soak, if not your Tai Tow Choy will be
very salty.)
Dark soya sauce.
Soya sauce (optional).
Pepper.

Heat up your pan and pour in some oil.

Fry your minced meat until half cook.

Pour in the Tai Tow Choy and cook further.

If you see your meat in big lump, break it into
small pieces.....fry until it is cook.

Pour in the dark soya sauce and pepper and fry again.
Taste it before you pour in the soya sauce....I did not pour
the soya sauce because the Tai Tow Choy still has the saltiness.

Dish out and keep it to use for other dishes.
Can't wait to cook tomorrow with
Fried Lo See Fun With Minced Meat.

Pan Fried Salmon

Pan Fried Salmon
One of my friends asked me how to pan fry salmon
without breaking into pieces.
Told her the method and she said I am her saviour because
her family will enjoy home cooked pan fried salmon without burning
their pocket. Glad to know that.
Isn't it is wonderful to know other people are happy with our help?

One piece of salmon.
Clean and pat dry the salmon.

Heat up the non-stick pan.
Make sure the non-stock pan is hot hot hot........

Drizzle some cooking oil.
(Not so much, please)

Before putting in the salmon, make sure
your non-stick pan is hot hot hot......

Around 3 minutes, if you can move the fish,
then it is done, if not, leave it to pan fry further....until done.
if you force it, you will break the fish.

Pan fry the other side for another less than 3 minutes.
Again, if you can move the salmon, then it is done.
If not, then pan fry further.....until done.

Once done, place it on a serving dish.
Happy Cooking.......

Tuna Puff

Tuna Puff

Today is 1 May 2011, Labour Day.
It is national holiday in Malaysia.
I am making Tuna Puff for my family...it is their favourite.

I want to share this shocking story with you.
Yesterday evening, I had a chat with my daughter
about her college days and I got a shock of my life......about what she told me.
One of her friends told her that she believed in God
but was unsure of her religion and
another friend overheard their conversation and said
"Then, you will go to hell".
I am a 47 years old mother and wife and I never uttered
these kind of sentences to anyone. I told my daughter to
tell her friend (the victim) not to worry because
"Who are we to judge anyone and who are we to condemn anyone?"
When one finger is pointed at another person, there are three
fingers pointing back to them." "When she is older and wiser,
she will have a religion....just take her time."
"Most important is to concentrate in her study......"

One can (185 g) of Tuna Mayonnaise
One roll of ready rolled puff pastry (thawed)
Some water
One beaten egg (for egg wash).
Some flour.

Roll out the puff pastry and cut it.

Cut into 3 inches by 2 inches.

Scoop 1 teaspoon or more of tuna into the middle of the puff pastry.
(Please do not be greedy, if not, your tuna will spill out.)
(Dab the edges with little bit of water...easier for closing.)

Roll it....to close it.

Close the three edges with fork.

Place all the ready tuna puff on top of a lined tray.
(Sprinkle with some flour on top of the wax paper before
placing the tuna puff.)

Brush the puff pastry with egg wash and
bake for 30 minutes at 190 Degree Celsius.

Another design......

Once ready, take it out from the oven and let it cool.

Ready to be served.
By the time I have finished, 1/2 of it has gone to
my family stomach......
:) Have a nice weekend and Happy Holiday.
